Using Walknote

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you sign up for an organisation, you confirm you may act for it, and the organisation is responsible for what its team does with the service.

Walknote AI drafts. You decide.

Walknote AI writes sentences only from what you recorded. You review, edit and approve every report before it can leave your organisation. When you sign, the report is yours: you are responsible for what it says and for who you send it to.

No professional advice

Walknote does not give engineering, legal, valuation or building-code advice, and it does not decide whether anything complies. A template follows a public document, but the document and your own judgement come first. Where we prepare material for a lawyer, such as an evidence pack, it is not legal advice.

Recording people

• You need the right to record where you record. Tell the people on site that you are recording.
• Avoid faces, children, ID documents and screens where you can.
• You must not use Walknote to record people in places or ways the law does not allow.

Your content

Your recordings, photos and reports belong to you. We use them only to provide the service to you and as the privacy notice describes. You can export what you recorded at any time. We will never use your name or logo to promote Walknote without a written yes from you.

Signed reports and verification

A signed report carries a short id and a QR code. The verification page shows that the report has not changed since it was signed. It does not show that the findings are right; that stays the inspector’s responsibility. We call this tamper-evident, not certified.

Plans, billing and VAT

Plans and prices are on the pricing page, in naira. Plans run month to month. You pay for publishers and for published reports above your plan’s allowance. Prices exclude VAT of 7.5%. Capture-only users are free on every plan.

You can cancel at any time. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Published reports and their verification pages stay available after you cancel.

Fair use

Do not break the service, probe it for weaknesses without asking, resell it, or use it to record or share anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

Availability

We work to keep Walknote running. Capture is built to work offline, so a visit is not lost when the signal drops. We may change or retire features, and we will tell account owners before a change that matters.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Walknote is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending

You can stop using Walknote and ask an owner to close the account. When an account closes, we handle your data as the privacy notice describes, including the seven-year retention of signed reports.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
