Walknote

Case study

A real walk, start to finish. Every sentence traced to your words.

These are real walks in Abuja, filmed on a phone and run through Walknote from first word to signed report. Below is every stage, with what it cost.

04 · Method

How a case study is made.

Every step is the one Walknote runs for any report. The only extra work is the privacy filter.

  1. 01

    One video in

Each walk goes into Walknote as one video. Nobody writes the notes for it.
  2. 02

    Every stage runs

The same steps run as for any report: listen, pull out the notes, place the frames, draft, and check every sentence. The cost and time shown are the real count.
  3. 03

    A person reviews

A person looks at the frame links and anything the checks flagged, and may edit a sentence. An edit shows as “edited by the reviewer”, and Walknote AI's first wording is kept beside it.
  4. 04

    Approval and signing

A person approves the report. It is then signed with a fingerprint of every file, and it gets its public verification id.
  5. 05

    People are kept out

Frames with a person in them are not shown. They are still part of the signed record, so the fingerprints cover them.
  6. 06

    Firm names are withheld

The firms that filmed these walks are not named. Where a name was spoken it reads [name removed], and the logo at the top of each video was cropped off before it went into Walknote, so it is not in any frame or signed report.

How to read it

What the record shows.

  • The numbers that count are the measured results above, each with how many it was measured on.
  • We do not measure whether an inspector's findings are right. We measure whether the report says what the inspector recorded.
  • Signed means tamper-evident: a change after signing shows. It is not certified by anyone.

Test it on your own walk.
