Templates

Eight templates. Each follows a public document.

Row names, stage lists and header fields follow public Nigerian documents. Where two documents disagree, the number is a setting with both sources beside it.

  1. 01

    Construction

    Stage Inspection Record

One record for each certified stage of a build. Element by element: what the drawings specify, what was built, and your rating with a reason.

    Built on

The 2019 Regulations have no superstructure schedule, so those rows come from the Code's Form 4 and say so.

    Only a person fills in

Builder, structural engineer and architect names, registration numbers and seals; test values.

  2. 04

    Construction

    Completion and Snag Walk

A completion checklist of which certificates exist, measurements read out with a photo of the tape, and a snag list that reopens before the defects period ends.

    Only a person fills in

The sworn declaration, the professionals' signatures and the Engineer's taking-over certificate.

  3. 06

    Facilities

Fire, Life Safety and Statutory Equipment Walk

Extinguishers, alarms, exits, fire doors, gas and lifts, each with a photo of the tag or plate. Skipped items read Not recorded, not Present.

    Only a person fills in

The Approved Person's and the fire service's certificates. Walknote records a walk; it never replaces the examination.

  4. 07

    Programmes

    Project Verification Visit

One question order for every site on a list: does it exist, how far along is it, is the quality right, how much is there, and what is its status.

    Only a person fills in

    The verifier's sign-off.

  5. 08

    Incident

    Incident and Joint Investigation Visit

A field record of an incident or a collapse: what happened, where, who was present, what was collected for testing, with the clocks that start the moment it is reported.

    Only a person fills in

Every party's signature, captured on screen.

Three kinds of field

Who is allowed to fill each row.

Every row in every template is one of these. It decides what Walknote AI may write and what only a person can.

  1. 01

    Observed

A photo, a spoken statement or a typed value. You supply it, and Walknote AI only restates it in plain sentences.
  2. 02

    Attested

A signature, a seal, a registration number or a sworn declaration. Only a person fills it. Walknote AI never does.
  3. 03

    Derived

Counts, deadlines and comparisons. Code works them out from what you recorded, so the same input always gives the same answer.
  4. 04

    Test values

A cube strength or an NDT reading comes from a lab report, or you type it with its source. It is never inferred and never estimated. If you say one aloud, Walknote AI asks you to type it and leaves the field empty.

Make your own

Start from one, then make it yours.

Copy any built-in, rename it, and pick a rating set: Complied or Not complied, Satisfactory or Not satisfactory, or your own words. Visits keep the version they started on.

Why thresholds are settings

The public documents do not always agree. One regulation asks for a sub-soil report above four floors and another schedule says two. So the floor count is a field that cites both, and an administrator in your organisation chooses which applies. A changed value carries a “changed from source” badge.
